I've just posted an invitation on Damien Mulley's blog, to see if we could find some new posters. Then it struck me... for all I know many of the posters to his blog may well already be posting here. Should we try further afield for new members? Personally, I'm happy with the "status quo" here, but that's due to a natural indolence which makes change seem... well... a bit dramatic.

fyi i've had new registrations turned off for a couple of months because the only new posters we did get, aside from some p45ers, were spammers for the most part. i again am suggesting the personal recommendation system for new posters, but if you want the gates open again, let me know...

Thanks for the update, Ickabod. I expect if people wish to join they'll contact posters they know, to get a referral. I thought that spammers had more of less given up by now. Security is much improved everywhere on the Web.

Having read further down that link I realise that I did not know that a "tout" could also be a "spy". Thanks, Hack, for expanding my vocabulary.
